Baby stroller combined with scooter: This can’t end well!

Baby stroller combined with scooter: This can’t end well!

What’s this, a new way to win that Parent of the Year award? Strap your tot into Valentin Vodev’s Roller Buggy, and you’re off on an adventure. Don’t worry, there’s a hand control to engage its hydraulic disc brakes on the front two wheels to stop you if things get out of hand. When you take the baby to Grandma’s, conceal the buggy’s scooter extension, and it’ll just look like a weird stroller with no one suspecting a thing. I’m just glad my mom didn’t have one of these when I was a kid. So far, it’s a prototype, winning the Third [...]

HTC’s phone success is bringing company profits

HTC has announced a huge profit for the first quarter of 2010, riding the wave of its critically acclaimed smartphones to report a net profit of just over 5.03 billion Taiwan dollars (c£103 million). Considering the massive global impact of the HD2 and of course the UK’s current hottest phones the Desire and Legend, HTC’s promising start to the year still surpassed expectations, although the company did dip slightly from the last quarter of 2009. White label to hero HTC has gone from a respected but low key phone manufacturer making Windows Mobile handsets to be branded up by other [...]

BEIJING: China has announced that President Hu Jintao will take part in a summit on nuclear security in the United States on April 12-13, signaling an end of strained relations between the countries. Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Thursday that Hu would stop in Washington on his way to South America. Asus to fire back at iPad with Android tablet?

Asus has made a name for itself with netbooks. I remember when I first started writing about the Eee PC (before my time writing about it for DVICE), it was odd to think of a cheap computer as something super desirable. eMachines were cheap computers you bought your grandmother, but they didn’t pack enough punch to do all the computing a tech-savvy person would want to do. Fast forward to today: The Eee PC is the perfect companion to a student or traveler, and Jonney Shih, Asus’s chairman, is credited as one of the key visionaries behind the netbook boom. Now he’s got his sights [...]
