DHAKA: Eoin Morgan hammered a gutsy century under pressure to power England to a thrilling two-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the second one-day international on Tuesday.
Man-of-the-match Morgan hit a 104-ball 110 not out for his second one-day hundred as England surpassed Bangladesh”s 260-6 with seven balls to spare in the day-night match for an unbeaten 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
The 23-year-old also became the first batsman in one-day cricket to score centuries for two countries, his first hundred coming for Ireland against Canada in Nairobi in 2007.

PORT OF SPAIN: Graeme Cremer captured three wickets for 11 runs as Zimbabwe”s spinners bowled the visitors to a stunning, 26-run victory over West Indies in a Twenty20 International on Sunday.

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Narcotics Force on Tuesday foiled attempts to smuggle 10-kg of narcotics by arresting four smugglers, including a foreigner, at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
According to ANF officials, a South African national was arrested after being caught with 6-kg of narcotics. He was scheduled to fly to Nairobi by Qatar Airways.
In another incident, another passenger, identified as Adnan Suhail, was arrested along with his two accomplices for keeping 4 kilograms of drugs in his baggage. He was going to Kuala Lumpur by Thai Airways.

At the time of our father’s death, we were in school. His eldest three children were in college. Ken (22) studying chemical engineering and Susan (20) studying computer science, both in the USA, and Winnie (19) studying commerce at the University of Nairobi’s Lower Kabete campus.

Thomas Joseph Odhiambo Mboya (August 15, 1930 – July 5, 1969) was a prominent Kenyan politician during Jomo Kenyatta’s government. He was founder of the Nairobi People’s Congress Party, a key figure in the formation of the Kenya African National Union (KANU), and the Minister of Economic Planning and Development at the time of his death. Mboya was assassinated on July 5, 1969 in Nairobi. U.S. President Barack Obama has referred to Tom Mboya as his “godfather.”

The Honorable Minister Dr. John Robert Ouko (31 March 1931–c. 13 February 1990), commonly known as Robert Ouko, was a Kenyan politician who served as Foreign Minister of Kenya. Robert Ouko served in the government of Kenya from the colonial period through the presidencies of Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi. He was a member of the National Assembly for Kisumu and a cabinet minister, rising to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation by 1990. He was murdered in Kenya on February 13, 1990. The murder case remains unsolved.

Finally the Parliamentary Select Committee has come out in its true colors. It has shown that it can bastardize the people’s document to suit the narrow whims of just a handful of people in Parliament.
