The U.S. government is considering the sale of Plum Island, famous as a site for biological weapons testing and all manner of disease study. It’s home to a defunct government lab, a light house and a beach, but you could easily picture zombies and super soldiers strolling the grounds.

The government has directed PTA to close down the related link on Facebook about blasphemous caricatures. According to sources, the government has asked the PTA that Facebook has hurt the emotions of Muslims with the publication of blasphemous caricatures. So, this kind of website cannot be given access in Pakistan. According to sources, PTA has started taking necessary steps in this regard to block the related link on Facebook.

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Monday lashed out at the incumbent government, saying if the affairs are continued to be run in the present manner then the whole parliament should be sent home.

ISLAMABAD: The abductors of Afghanistans ambassador-designate to Pakistan Abdul Khaliq Farahi, who was kidnapped by armed gunmen from Peshawar in Sept 2008, Sunday released a video in which he was shown pleading to authorities to accept the demands of his captors.
Farahi, 53, was abducted by armed men from the Hayatabad area of Peshawar. His driver was shot dead by the kidnappers.
The diplomat, who hails from Afghanistan”s western Farah province, served as the Consul General in Quetta after the fall of the Taliban regime in Kabul.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Saturday said the government was committed and working towards the creation of an enabling environment for the betterment of the labour force and the progress of the country.
Addressing a Special Cabinet Meeting Prime Minister Gilani said the new labour policy was based on universal principles of equality and social justice, constitutional and international rights for the uplift of workers and labour force.
