Jailbreaking: The What and the Why
In buying an iProduct, you’re accepting that its fate will be dictated by Apple. They control what kind of apps you install on your device, which of the hardware functions you can exploit to their full potential, and which carrier you can use your iPhone with. Your mobile phone could soon be getting a massive memory boost if Samsung and Toshiba have anything to with it, as both companies have announced a new type of NAND flash memory module.

This memory has been optimised for use in mobile phones, so expect some higher capacity internal memory units to hit the shelves next year.
Don’t expect it to automatically [...]

Not interested in waiting until the 23rd for Verizon’s big announcement? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered right now! The Motorola Droid X has probably been one of the worst kept smartphone secrets in recent memory, but after spending two hours with the phone we sort of see why. In short, it’s pretty awesome. Call it a superphone or a mega-smartphone, but the 4.4-inch handset is absolutely Verizon / Motorola’s answer to the HTC EVO 4G, and makes the Droid Incredible look like a bench warmer. What do we mean? We’ll let you see for yourself just after [...]

Here’s a faucet that takes that Delta Touch2O electronic touch control to the next level. It’s activated with magical gestures. Spatial Interaction is a prototype design by Jasper Dekker, and all it takes is a wave of the hand to control its temperature and flow rate.
This project is beyond just the design concept stage; now it’s an attractive prototype carved out of a block of that same solid surface used in high-end kitchens, Corian. Imagine a faucet like this situated behind your kitchen sink, made of material that precisely matches the countertop.
