LAHORE: Lahoriites have protested in favour of a policeman and demanded his transfer be stopped. According to the details, some days ago, DSP Rang Mahal Police Station Imran Babar Jamil arrested a dacoit and later the gang leader was also nabbed. SWARIB: At least two dacoits were shot dead while their two associates were rounded up while they were offloading NATO-supply containers in a house in Swarib Town located in Qallat district on Wednesday night, police sources said. According to police sources, dacoits snatched two containers carrying supply for NATO forces at gunpoint and made away with them in Parlaghar area late on Wednesday night. KARAHCI: Two dacoits were caught red handed, tortured by people in a broad daylight and later handed over to police in Karachi on Saturday, Geo news reported. At least four dacoits broke into a house located in Aagra Taj area but could not succeeded in their evil design as two of them were caught red-handed by people of the area while the remaining two succeeded to flee. KARACHI: At least two persons were shot injured as they resisted amid robbery in Landhi locality of metropolis on Tuesday, Geo news reported. According to police sources, unidentified armed dacoits were looting persons when two, among them, resisted to receive bullet-inflicted injures here in Sherpao Colony located in Landhi area, but in a meantime, offenders succeeded to flee the scene. Injured persons were identified as Jameel (40) and Sahab-ud-Deen (54) and rushed to JPMC hospital for medical treatment where they have been declared out of danger, sources said.

SHEIKHUPURA: At least four dacoits have been gunned down by public while five succeeded to escape as they were fleeing after a robbery on Gahang Road located in Sheikhupura late on Tuesday night, Geo news reported. According to details, nine robbers were trying to escape after carrying out robbery in a house but people intercepted them and after a brief shooting, four among them were killed and five fled away. Police sources said they have cordoned off the area and beefed up patrolling.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Three armed dacoits attempted to abduct three citizens in the outskirts of Rahim Yar Khan, however killed one person and severely wounded the two others upon resistance and ran away. According to police sources, seven armed dacoits attempted to abduct three persons near Thana Bhong and opened fire upon resistance killing Zahoor Dhar on the spot and severely injuring Hanif Dhar and Shukra Dhar. The injured have been admitted to Jamal Din Wali Hospital in serious condition. Meanwhile, Eliot Force and policemen went after the dacoits, however they managed to escape.
