ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) decided to continue case proceedings against the PCO judges for contempt of court, Geo News reported Tuesday. The SC dismissed the intra-court appeals of the judges who took oath on Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) by declaring them non-maintainable. The SC bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk delivered the verdict on appeals of the PCO judges. ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) decided to continue case proceedings against the PCO judges for contempt of court, Geo News reported Tuesday. The SC dismissed the intra-court appeals of the judges who took oath on Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO). ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik Monday said he would be able to react on court’s decision against Ajmal Kasab tomorrow when the detailed verdict is made public. Talking to media men here outside Parliament House, Rehman Malik said he respects the Indian courts. “I have always said that Hakimullah Mehsud has been taken out,” he said, adding, although it is also a fact that Mehsud’s death has never been confirmed. LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday expressed anger over Deputy Attorney General Tanveer Hashmi during the hearings in President Asif Ali Zardari”s dual office case, Governor Punjab”s eligibility case and the case regarding use of the Presidency for political activities till May 17. LAHORE: Lahore High Court has sought explanation from the Pakistan Electric Power Company (Private) Limited (Pepco) for unannounced and unequal load shedding in rural and urban areas. Barrister Farooq Hassan has filed the plea on behalf of his client Imtiaz Qureshi against Pepco for failing to announce load-shedding schedule for commercial and domestic consumers, which is against basic human rights, the petitioner pleaded. RAWALPINDI: The Accountability Court in Rawalpindi has dismissed NAB’s petition seeking the restoration of three pending corruption references against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz. NAB in its plea contended that the corruption references against Nawaz and his family should be restored.
