ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah in a joint press conference with Federal Minister Manzoor Ahmad Watoo and Khurshid Ahmad Shah has announced the cabinet on Friday. RAWLAKOT: Owing to the ongoing strike against load-shedding in Rawlakot, exams of Azad Kashmir Public Service Commission have been postponed till April 5. According to reports, the strike against the unscheduled electricity load-shedding has entered the second day in District Rawlakot of Azad Kashmir. Meanwhile, the load-shedding duration rose to 20 hours. A shutter down strike is being observed in the city for the last two days, where the traffic remains off the roads. MIRPUR: Hundreds of people took to streets in Mirpur Azad Kashmir and marched towards Mangla Dam to protest long unscheduled load shedding. Police tried to stop the protesters and baton-charged, due to which several people sustained injures. The demonstrators maintained that Mangla Dam was constructed on their lands and they are deprived to electricity causing problem for them.

HYDERABAD: People in Pakistan are still being inflicted with the blistering load shedding despite it being Sunday today, Geo News reported Sunday. ISLAMABAD: The spell of snowfall continued in upper parts of the country and several roads have been closed due to land sliding and severe snowfall. Murree has received two feet of snowfall so far and people are facing difficulties to get drinking water because of closure of roads. Sporadic rains and snowfall on mountains continued in Mansehra since yesterday. MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif said the resolution of Kashmir issue is indispensable for the peace in the region, Geo News reported Saturday. MUZAFFARABAD: Dozens of houses were demolished and a boy died as incessant rains and landslides continued to devastated several areas of Muzaffarabad. The fast-flowing floodwater is passing through Kohala area, which is likely to fall into Mangla Lake anytime during the night. A breach (band) of the Zalzal Lake constructed after Oct 8 earthquake over landslides and rains was broken due to water pressure.
