Seems like the world will never stop copying or bringing in a competitive product which has become famous and captured the market with craze. Apple’s launch of the iPad got customers standing in long queues awaiting to grab their first copy.
With over a million units sold already, the company sits relaxed while it launches the tablet to other countries in the world. But now, we may see another company adding its product to the competitors line. Sony Corp. announced its interest in developing a tablet alike iPad which maybe termed as the strongest rival of the product.
Mike Abary, Senior Vice President of Sony IT Products told:
We have been taking a deep look at developing a tablet for a number of years, not just because of Apple but because it creates some interesting opportunities. The iPad has created a new opportunity. Now we can get a good judgment as to whether the market is truly accepting of it.
Well, isn’t Sony being too sincere? It’s a fact that whatever trends gets followers. Same would we say about Sony’s Tablet and Apple’s iPad. Tablet style computers is the in thing these days, with demand for such type of products growing day by day. The way the demand has increased, same is the case with Electronic manufacturers adopting to the tablet lifestyle.
Sony handed in information related to its part of tablet. The company would offer big touch screens with long battery life at a real low cost. While a source confirmed that Sony had started production of the tablet device, the company on the other revealed that it still awaits customers response on the tablet generation before it gives a go-ahead on production.
It was also told that the company is more focusing on its reader line of device which display digital books, a strong competition for Amazon’s Kindle. Sony also added that e-readers were the company’s fastest growing product and would soon capture the world market of electronic readers.
