iPad finally arriving overseas, ending hoarding and reselling

Since the iPad’s U.S. launch, Apple has had to restrict sales to two per person. That’s because the U.S. has been the only place to buy them, and Europeans have been trying to buy 10 at a time to bring home and sell to friends. Looks like that won’t be an issue for much longer.

On May 28, the following countries get to hand over more of their hard-earned money to Apple for a shiny piece of tech: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K.. And then in July, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore get brought on board.

That’s good news for both Europeans and for Americans who have what I’m sure are very legitimate reasons to be buying a dozen iPads at a time. It’s for research, guys!
