Intendix takes non-invasive computer interfaces mainstream

The dream of mainstream, non-invasive computer interfaces has arrived, assuming you don’t have problem with the space cap you’ll need to wear. Austrian firm g.tec Guger Technologies has produced the new system called intendix which allows anyone to control a computer using their own brainwaves.

Using visually evoked EEG potentials, the company’s software and cap allows mental control of the PC. Although this is clearly a technology dynamic still in the developing stages, it’s clear that this will give disabled consumers a much needed bridge to the world of computing that has, until now, seemed like a far off option. You can see video of the intendix computer interface in action here.
